Sometimes the horrors you know are better than the secrets in the dark

Ghostly Intentions started out as a haunted house story….with an elf, and a mage. Horror fantasy.
Conventional wisdom says “don’t cross the genres”. A little like Ghostbusters, you aren’t supposed to cross the streams, but I can’t help myself. I love fantasy, and horror (both psychological and the monster of the week kind) are some of my favorite kinds of stories. So of course I mixed them together.
It is a stand alone, with the potential for a series some day, but not in the works currently.
And this weekend it is free.

If you read Ghostly Intentions please take a moment to give it a review on Amazon. The best way to get new readers to take a chance on your writing is if it has reviews. Thank you so much for helping me in this way.
And remember you can get everything I’ve written in KU as well.

Till then, keep reading!

All the arts everywhere!

Just a quick update,

Small Bites and The Ring are both free this weekend. And Dragon’s Flame, the first novel in my new series, is finally out. It’s currently 99 cents, but it will go up to 2.99 in a week. If you want to grab it before the price goes up make sure to order it now.

If you read any of these books I would love to hear your thoughts. Write a review, or send me an email at crissymoss AT hotmail DOT com. I love getting reader feedback.

I’d also like to let you know that I’ll be streaming once a week (most weeks) on my twitch. I’ll be drawing, doing small projects, writing sometimes, or just chatting. Depends on what happens. I’d love to have people stop in and say hi, or shout me out on twitter. Schedule at the moment is Wednesdays, 3pm to 5pm PST.

On my first stream I took an old sketch and redid it into something completely cute. My first cosplay! You can watch the time-lapse version HERE, or the full VOD over here.

Geek Speak

I’m a bit of a geek. I know, you didn’t know that, but it’s true 😉

So I thought why not chat about the geeky stuff on my vlog instead of just trying to talk about whatever comes to mind. I’m constantly reading about interesting geeky tech, games, movies, or reading some interesting comic or book. Why not talk about that?

There are two episodes up. It will probably be a weekly thing after a bit, I’m just trying to get a few episodes up for now.

Book two of the Witch’s Trilogy is coming along nicely. It is currently 61k long (about 200 pages). I split the first chapter in two and posted it here and here if you’d like to read it. I’ll be posting little bits of it on G+ from here till it’s published. Then I have the third one to do.

prophec3yAlso, I started getting my books in audio format. The first one, Prophecy by Barlight, is available now! It’s only $3.46.

The next one out will be “Footprints”. I just approved the recording today and it will take about a week for it to go through the system. I’ll be adding a few more of my books to their system. I love listening to them in audio, I hope others will too.

What are you talking about?!?!

I’ve heard that from my boyfriend more then once… per day.

It usually happens when I start trying to tell him about something, or describe something that happens to me. Usually at work.

I mean it’s really easy to understand “there was a snake in a storage unit”. Yep, that is simple enough. Snake. Storage unit. Screaming customer. Animal control. Oh wait, cameras?

But sometimes I get excited, and the words start tumbling out of my mouth. Worse yet, sometimes they get stuck somewhere between my mouth and my tongue. I don’t know why, but it is far easier to get the words out when I type then it is when I speak. I suppose it’s a good thing I decided to be a writer and not a stand up comedian, because people don’t find comedians funny if they sit there saying “um” all the time.

I really have no point to this post. But I will let you know, if you’re still reading this, that I am half way done re-editing “Small Bites – Complete Collection” along with the extra content, and formatting for a physical book. The paperback will take an extra week, but the ebook should be available this weekend.
